A teacher from the St. Louis area awaits the decision of her local school board on whether she can keep her job after publicly expressing disapproval of interracial marriage. Jendra Loeffelman has taught for 13 years at Crystal City Elementary School. She recently told her 8th Grade class that she disapproved of interracial marriage. Loeffelman has told the Board she was only giving her opinion to a student who asked for it. She said she was concerned mixed-race children might be persecuted. The school board is expected to announce its decision next week.
