The Kansas City Star reports that the Chiefs are close to signing Eddie Kennison to a six-year contract. Kennison, who retired mid-way through last season with the Broncos, came back a few weeks later with the Chiefs. In 2002, he led the team with 53 receptions and 906 receiving yards. Kennison caught two touchdowns. He’ll become a free agent next month if not signed.
