A lawsuit accusing the Jackson County Legislature of illegally awarding a drug court treatment contract has been dismissed after the legislature agreed to re-examine competing bids. County Court Services, the current contract holder, dropped the suit it filed after Jackson County awarded the contract to its competitor: Addiction Recovery. The county has agreed to to have a new outside evaluator re-examine the bids. Officials expect to resolve the matter by next month.
