Governor’s Prayer Breakfast Hears Call For Cooperation

January 9, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Hundreds of people were on hand for the annual Governor’s Prayer Breakfast, held at a Jefferson City banquet hall. Governor Bob Holden addressed those in attendance, speaking of the need for spiritual guidance as public officials deal with the major issues of the day. And, he issued a call directly to state lawmakers, reminding them they must think long and hard about the consequences of any actions they take during the new session of the General Assembly. He promised to work in a bipartisan manner with legislators to do what is in the best interests of all Missourians.
