A national magazine says Missouri has two of the nation’s top eight children’s hospitals. Child Magazine ranks St. Louis Children’s Hospital sixth and Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy Hospital eighth. The magazine bases its ratings on evaluations by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and a 72-question survey developed by a team of hospital advisers.
