The head of the Division of Family Services office in Springfield has quit. Kristy Hardy says in her letter of resignation that her boss has made it clear she is to be considered the scapegoat for difficulties the office has had. She says she will not accept that status, especially since higher-ups had approved the decisions she made in the case of Dominic James. The death of James, a two-year old boy is foster care, has triggered heavy criticism of DFS and the resignations of three other division officials.
