The SMS Bears men shot 60% from the floor to blow out Illinois State 76-48. Terrance McGee had 17 points and Merrill Andrews added 13. The Bears handed the Cardinals their worst loss ever in the 13-year old Redbird Arena. On Thursday, head coach Barry Hinson welcomed his team back from Christmas with a seven-hour practice. They were shelled by SEMO 70-53, in their previous contest. SMS improved to 4-5 overall and 1-0 in Missouri Valley Conference Play.
