The State Liquor Control Division says liquor retailers are under some increased pressure at this time of year because of the increased number of parties and the increased amount of drinking associated with the holidays. Division Director Keith Fuller says one particular challenge involves college students returning from other states with fake i.d. cards from those states. He says the Division, and the industry, try to make sure retailers can spot a fake. Fuller says his agents step up their vigilance at this time of year, especially watching places that have gotten citations in the past and watching for times when people who are already drunk are served anyway.
