Heavy snows, more than a foot in some areas, are burying much of the state in a blanket of white on this Christmas Eve. Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories have been posted across the state with the worst of the weather in Southern Missouri. Sixteen inches of snow have fallen in Bucyrus in Texas County, while other places in the Ozarks are reporting 14 inches of snow. Nearly 11 inches are on the ground at the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport.
