Operation Exodus is underway – the movement of 6,000 troops out of Fort Leonard Wood to Lambert-St.ouis Airport and points beyond. The troops are going home for the holidays. One-thousand Marine trainees from the Fort went through Lambert yesterday. Some of the soldiers, who are in the early parts of their military careers, stay at the Fort, where officials have some special non-training activities planned. The process reverses on January 2nd when the soldiers return.
