Talent Praises White House For Missile Defense Initiative

December 19, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Bush Administration is being praised by Missouri’s junior U.S. Senator for its call to move ahead with deployment of a missile defense system. Senator Jim Talent says the U.S. must do whatever is necessary to protect itself and its allies. As for the cost, Talent concedes it will be expensive, but he says it’s worth the price. Talent says that while the threat of a so-called dirty bomb exists, America should not use that as a reason to dismiss the need to protect against missiles from terrorists or rogue nations.
