A tornado has hit a mobile home park in Lawrence County in Southwest Missouri, killing a woman and injuring more than a dozen other people. National Weather Service reports indicated several tornadoes in Southwest Missouri and other high straight line winds. The Weather Service reports another fatality in Barton County, near Kenoma, where at least three frame homes and one mobile home were destroyed. The Sheriff’s Office confirms that death. County emergency management crews report at least five injuries. Elsewhere, a mobile home was destroyed near Elkton in Hickory County – no injuuries. A tornado was reported in several places in Jasper County. In Barton County, three hosues were destroyed in one place; a home, silo and barn were destroyed in another, and a home was damaged in a third location. Near Weableau in Hickory County, a tornado was reported, but no damage. Near Fairview in Newton County, a house and barn were damaged; no injuries reported. A tornado was reported on the ground west of Monett in Barry County. A house was de-roofed near Hartville in Wright County. Many places in Southwest and Western Missouri had heavy hail, so much that piles of it remained by morning.
