It’s the maximum for former Kansas City pharmacist Robert Courtney, the man who diluted cancer-fighting drugs for hundreds, maybe thousands, of people. A federal judge has sent him to prison for 30 years without parole and has ordered him to pay almost $10.5-Million restitution to his victims. Courtney’s pharmacy has been ordered to pay the same amount in restitution. The sentence means Courtney will be 80 when he gets out of prison. Courtney pleaded guilty last February and agreed to answer questions about his actions.
