At the NAIA Volleyball tournament in San Diego, defending National Champion Columbia College won their opening match against Southern Oregon, as coach Melinda Wrye-Washington battled pneumonia. The Cougars, who have won three National Titles, face Wilmington College and Lubbock Christian University as pool play continues today. Also, today, Truman State faces host West Texas A and M in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II volleyball tournament. There are eight teams remaining in the tournament.
