Director Of Employment Security Says Unemployment Benefits Fund In Terrible Shape

The State Director of Employment Security says the fund that pays unemployment benefits in Missouri is in an absolute crisis and will have to borrow money from the federal govenrment to keep writing the checks. Director Gracia Backer says the fund will have to borrow $134-Milliondollars next year. Backer suggests some changes in state laws that would let the fund become more prepared for the next heavy drain on its funds.
