Barring a last minute change of heart, Andy Benes will retire today. The Cardinals right-hander had reportedly retired back in the spring. He eventually came back to be the Cards best pitcher down the stretch. His 1.86 ERA after the All-Star break was the best in the majors. He’ll retire with 155 wins, 52 of which came with the Cardinals.
