The Rams fell to 5-6 as well with a 20-17 loss to the Redskins. St. Louis took a 10-0 lead early on, but Washington reeled off 20 straight points to take control of the game. But the Rams had a chance to win late in the game. With just seconds remaining and the ball on the Redskin 13, Mike Martz opted against kicking a game-tying field goal. Kurt Warner, who was making his first start since breaking his pinky finger, dropped back to pass and had the ball stripped by LaVar Arrington. The Skins recovered and the game was over. Warner was 34-49 passing with 301 yards and two touchdown tosses.
