Bond Looks Forward To New Duties In GOP-Controlled US Senate

November 25, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Senator Bond is looking ahead to the new session of Congress when he and his fellow Republicans take back control of the U.S. Senate. Bond, who will chair the Senate Transportation Subcommittee, says the new Senate will have to pass 11 of 13 Appropriations Bills that were not approved by the just-concluded Congress. So, that means a lot of work from the start. As for his transportation duties. Bond says he’s already begun interviewing for staff that will rewrite the Highway Reauthorization Bill, which is expected to be very important for Missouri.
