Federal prosecutors have offered the first medical evidence linking diluted cancer-fighting drugs from former pharmacist Robert Courtney in Kansas City. Two physicians have concluded that 53-year-old Evelyn Coates, who died in August of last year, died as a result of Courtney’s drug tampering. One of the doctors has expressed his belief that Coates would have survived longer had it not been for the dilutions of the drugs. Courtney has pleaded guilty to tampering with the drugs and could receive 17-and-a-half to 30 years in prison when he’s sentenced on December 5th.
