Wallace Tops Missouri Drives in NASCAR

November 18, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Tony Stewart came away with the Winston Cup points title yesterday. Rusty Wallace finished 14th in Miami as the NASCAR Winston Cup season came to an end. Wallace finished seventh in the point standings, which made him the highest finishing Missourian. His brothers, Ken and Mike were 39th and 41st in the points, though they finished 23rd and 11th in yesterday’s race. Ken Shcrader of Fenton was 30th in the point standings and finished 27th in Miami. Perhaps the most impressive Show-Me driver was rookie Jamie McMurray. The Joplin based drive had two Top 10 finishes, including a win, in six starts. He finished 46th in the points and 22nd yesterday.
