Senator Christopher Bond gets the chairmanship of the committee that will write federal highway legislation next year. He’s the new Chairman of the Transportation Subcommittee of the Senate Public Works Committee. In taking that job, he gives up his possible chairmansip of the Small Business Committee, although he’ll remain a member of it. He also remains as Chairman of the Apporpiations Subcommittee on Housing and Veterans Affairs.
