The University of Missouri System Board of Curators has made its selection of a new president for the University of Missouri system. Elson Floyd, President of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, has been unanimously chosen by the Board to succeed Manuel Pacheco, who will retire December 31st. Prior to taking over the top spot at Western Michigan University, Floyd was the executive vice president at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He’ll move into his new job as President of the University of Missouri System on January 6th of next year.
