Cards Raise Ticket Prices

November 13, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

It will cost more to see the St. Louis Cardinals next season. The team announced yesterday that ticket prices will go up by an average of $2.85 per ticket. The team said they want to use the extra revenue to lure free agents and keep the players they already have. Cardinals President Mark Lamping said in a press release, “Our pricing plan for 2003 allows us to maintain stability and supports our commitment to winning a 10th world championship.” The Cardinals also introduced a kids season ticket plan, which will allow children ages 15 and under to have their own seat for $2 per game. Last month the Royals announced that they will be keeping their prices the same as 2002.
