Royals first base coach Tom Gamboa is asking for leniency in the sentencing of the 15-year old boy, who along with his father attacked Gamboa at a Royals White sox game in Chicago. Gamboa testified in an Illinois courtroom yesterday. The boy has pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated battery and two counts of mob action. Gamboa thinks probation would be a proper punishment. The boy’s father, William Legue Jr., pleaded not guilty to three felony counts of aggravated battery and one felony count of mob action. Last week, Ligue apologized for the incident, admitting that he was drunk and under the influence of five different drugs at the time.
