He was a favorite of the David Letterman Show in the mid-80’s. Many people had trouble pronouncing his name. In fact many, non-Royal fans have probably forgotten his name altogether. But Buddy Biancalana will be re-introducing himself to a lot of young baseball players. The former Royals shortstop was named the manager of the Phillies Class A team of Lakewood, New Jersey yesterday. Biancalana was an integral part of Kansas City’s 1985 World Series champion team.
