Goalie Tom Barrasso signed a one-year $900,000 contract with the Blues yesterday. Barrasso is expected to take over the back-up goalie position, currently held by Fred Brathwaite. Brathwaite’s certainly doing his best to make this a tough decision for head coach Joel Quenneville. Since returning from a groin injury last Wednesday, Brathwaite has stopped 61 of 64 shots, winning three games in a row. As a team, St. Louis has won eight straight. Tonight they try to make it nine in a row. The Blues are in Montreal.
