The man who attacked Royals first base coach Tom Gamboa has apologized in an interview in a Chicago Newspaper. Bill Ligue Jr. admits to being under the influence of alcohol and five other drugs on the night of September 19th. He and his son jumped out of the stands and beat Gamboa before Royals players and coaches surrounded Ligue and his 15-year old son and security guards apprehended the two. Ligue is still in jail and his son will go for sentencing on November 7th. Ligue was chaperoning his 13-year old nephews birthday party.
