Rush Scores 2 in Debut

October 30, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Kareem Rush scored 2 points in his first NBA game. He played three minutes for the Lakers in their 87-82 loss to the Spurs. Rush, who opted to go pro after his junior season at Missouri, was the last player to get into the game. He was 1-2 from the field and committed a turnover in three minutes of play. Rush was the 20th pick in the draft by the Raptors in this year’s NBA draft. Later that night, they traded him to LA. Two other former Tigers are in the NBA. Keyon Dooling begins his third season with the Clippers tonight as they take on the Cavaliers in Los Angeles. Anthony Peeler, who was a Big 8 player of the year for the Tigers, begins his 11th NBA campaign tonight as he and the Timberwolves host the Nuggets.
