Rachel Martin has proven herself on the high school level, now she wants to prove it in college. She’ll have her chance next season in Springfield. Martin, who was an Oklahoma 6A all state basketball player as a junior, has verbally committed to SMS. Martin can sign a letter of commitment as early as next month. She’ll become the first signee under Katie A. Henderson’s tenure. Henderson took over for Cheryl Burnett who resigned in April.
