His name may not be as recognizable as Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, or Isaac Bruce, but all three of them will tell you that fullback James Hodgins is a valued member of the Rams offense. That valued member has been out of commission all season with a broken left foot. The injury occurred in the Rams pre-season game against the Chargers. Now it appears that their starting fullback could be ready to play this Sunday against the Cardinals. Hodgins, who has provided tremendous blocking, returned to practice on Monday. The team is desperate for his return. On October 13th, backup fullback Chris Hetherington went down with a groin injury. Since then long-snapper Chris Massey and tight end Ernie Conwell have been filling in.
