The two newest Blues are expected to practice with the team for the first time today. Last week the team signed winger Martin Rucinsky and goalie Tom Barrasso. Results from their physicals should be in today and if they both pass they’ll be signed to contracts. The goalie issue will probably be addressed most immediately. The Blues have used four net-minders this season with rash of injuries that have forced fifth string goalie Curtis Sanford to play. Brent Johnson, who is the team’s number one goalie, is still hurt with a high ankle sprain. Rucinsky will certainly be welcomed, but the offense has come around in their five-game winning streak. On Wednesday, the Blues are home to play Nashville.
