Two Girls Sports Will Have Champs This Weekend

Some state championships will be decided this weekend. Today the girls tennis finals will get underway in Springfield. In Class 2, St. Joseph Academy will defend their state title against Columbia Rock Bridge. Class 1 defending champ Pembroke Hill takes on Mary Institute, Country Day. The softball semifinals and finals will be played in Columbia starting today. In Class 4 Seckman faces Francis Howell, and Jefferson City battles Ray-Pec. Class 3 features Lutheran South taking on St. Charles and Carl Junction versus Kearney. Blair Oaks goes up against Strafford and Southern Boone County gets Salisbury in Class 2. And in Class 1 Marion C. Early takes on St. Elizabeth while Lone Jack and Jefferson Square off.
