Missouri Schools Hope to Lure Chiefs

October 25, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Chiefs have already committed to practicing at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls through 2003, but there are a number of Missouri schools that are attempting to lure the team closer to home. Last night a group at Missouri Western College in St. Joseph met to discuss ways to attract the Chiefs. Representatives from the team will tour the campus on November 5th. Other colleges interested in hosting the Chiefs pre-season workouts are Northwest Missouri St., Central Missouri State, Southwest Missouri St. and Pittsburg St. in Kansas. The Chiefs have trained in River Falls since 1991.
