Rams kicker Jeff Wilkins’ marriage with kicking field goals barefoot is over. On Sunday, Wilkins was 3-3 on field goals, but hit the crossbar twice. He also missed a field goal that would have given the Rams a lead with a minute to go against the Cowboys in week four. Because of the leather-to-metal collisions and inaccuracy, Wilkins has decided to put the shoe back on for field goals and extra points. He’ll continue to boot kick offs without a shoe. His numbers in that area have improved. The Rams are off until November 3rd when they travel to Arizona.
