The Blues signed left-winger Martin Rucinsky to a one-year deal yesterday. He’ll make 1.7 million dollars this season. Rucinsky and Blues rookie Petr Cajanek were once teammates on theh Czech national team and may be placed together on the same line with Jamal Mayers. Daniel Corso, who has a shoulder separation, will most likely be put on waivers. Rucinsky could join the team at home on Monday if he passes a physical. Last season, he scored 11 goals and dished out 27 points with the Stars, Canadiens, and Rangers. Tonight, the Blues look to win their fourth game in a row as they face the Oilers. Even though Fred Brathwaite says he’s over his groin injury, head coach Joel Quenneville will start with rookie Curtis Sanford. After losing and tying their first two, St. Louis rolled off three wins to wrap up a five-game season-opening home stand. They haven’t played since Saturday.
