Notre Dame de Sion left no doubt. After taking a 25-stroke lead into the finals of the Class 2 Girls State Golf Championship, they increased their advantage even further, winning the title by 44 strokes over St. Josephs Academy. They also provided the individual performances as well. Sisters Ellen and Emily Hoeper took 1st and 2nd place. In Class 1, Mount Vernon’s state title was a little closer. They beat out defending-champ Richmond by eight strokes. Richmond’s Brianna Broderick was the individual winner.
