The crowd of just under 27.000 at Arrowhead stadium for last Thursday’s Northwest Missouri State, Pittsburg State game was believed to be a record for Division-II football. Apparently that was an inaccurate assumption. The Kansas City Star reports that organizers didn’t do enough checking. Apparently a game between Central Florida and Troy St. drew over 31,000 in 1998. Both teams were Division-II at the time.
