Anheuser-Busch gets a bigger foothold in China, the world’s second-biggest market for beer. AB is increasing its ownership share in Tsingtao Brewery Company to 27 percent in the next seven years. It now owes four-and-a-half percent. The deal will cost Anheuser-Busch $182-Million. Tsingtao controls about 13 percent of the domestic beer market in China. It’s the company’s biggest brewing company. When the deal is finished, the only bigger stockholder in Tsingtao will be the Chinese Government.
