Faulk Reaches Milestone, Williams Gone for Season in Rams Win

October 21, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Rams reached the 30-point plateau for the first time in 2002, with a 37-20 win over the Seahawks on Sunday. Marshall Faulk had a breakout game with 183 yards rushing and seven receptions for 52 yards. He scored three times on the ground and caught a touchdown pass. Faulk’s afternoon also included a milestone. He became the 15th player in NFL history to reach 10,000 career-rushing yards. The Rams trailed 14-13 at the half, before scoring the first 24 points of the second half. Quarterback Marc Bulger was 22-40 for 265 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception. There was some bad news to go along with the win. All-Pro cornerback Aneas Williams will be gone for the rest of the season with a broken bone in his foot and a sprained ankle. He had surgery last night. After an 0-5 start, the Rams have won two straight to up their record to 2-5. St. Louis has a bye this Sunday, and then they head to Arizona.
