Pete Weber was the only Missourian to make the field of 64 at the PBA’s Greater Kansas City Classic at Lunar Bowl in Blue Springs. Weber, of St. Ann, was tied for 18th after the first round of qualifying. Steve Hoskins of Tarpon Springs, Florida was first. Two more qualifying rounds will cut the field down to 16 today. Five bowlers will survive Saturday’s competition. Sunday’s finals will be broadcast live on ESPN Sunday afternoon. This is the first PBA event in the Kansas City area in three years.
