Chiefs’ fans who were concerned about the offense functioning without Trent Green can feel a little better today. The starting quarterback practiced for the first time this week, taking some snaps yesterday. As a result, Dick Vermeil has listed him as probable for Sunday’s game with the Broncos. Green injured his ankle in the first half of Sunday’s 35-34 loss to the Chargers. Green leads the NFL with 15 touchdown passes this season. The Chiefs will certainly have to be on their game to move the ball; Denver has the stingiest defense in the AFC, allowing 280 yards per game. But that doesn’t tell the whole story, as that same defense allows 20 points per game. The Chiefs enter the game with a 3-3 record and the Broncos are 4-2.
