Ethics Commission Votes To Loosen Campaign Secrecy Rules

October 18, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The State Ethics Commission has decided to be a little bit less secretive about campaign ethics complaints it handled. The Commission has voted to make let the public know more about its investigations of complaints. Several news organizations have been wanting to know what the Commission is doing about a Democratic Party complaint that Jim Talent has taken illegal campaign donations. Talent is the Republican candidate for the US Senate against Jean Carnahan. The decision clears the way for the release of some information about the Talent case.
