The Blues power play finally broke out of its funk. St. Louis was 4-10 on the man-advantage last night, topping the Blue Jackets 7-1. Keith Tkachuk and rookie Eric Boguniecki scored two goals apiece. Fellow rookie Petr Cajanek had a goal and two assists. But the news wasn’t all good. Third-string goalie Reinhard Divis had to leave late in the first period with a hamstring pull. He was filling in for Brent Johnson who has an ankle sprain and Fred Brathwaite who has a groin pull. Curtis Sanford made his NHL debut and played pretty well, stopping 12 of the 13 shots sent his way. His only falter was a power play goal with :12 to go in the contest. The Blues have won two in a row, which gives them a record of 2-1-1. St. Louis will put the wraps on a five-game season-opening home stand when they face the Stars on Saturday.
