SIMS LIKELY OUT FOR SEASON

October 15, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Chiefs first round draft pick Ryan Sims is expected to be put on the injured reserve list which would effectively end his season. The rookie defensive tackle dislocated his elbow on Sunday. Derrick Ransom, who Sims replaced, will take over his spot in the line up. The team will most likely try to pick up Terdell Sands or Nate Hobgood-Chittick to fill the open roster spot. The team cut both players before the regular season. Kicker Michael Husted will be a Chief for at least one more week. He’s been hired for kickoff duty while Morten Andersen’s pulled hamstring heals.
