The Coordinating Board for Higher Education has made its request for money for the 2004 budget and the figures are identical to the amounts the Board and colleges and universities are receiving in the current Fiscal Year. Associate Commissioner Joe Martin says the Board is working under the assumption there won’t be any cuts or withholdings in the 2004 Fiscal Year. The Board is asking for about $730-Million for four-year colleges and universities. It wants about $137,000 for junior colleges.
