Questions are being raised by the State Public Service Commission about the impact the WorldCom bankruptcy filing might have on the company’s customers in this state. WorldCom Regional Executive Neil Larsen appeared today before the Commission. He says Missouri customers can expect to receive the same service from WorldCom to which they have become accustomed. WorldCom won’t release exact details of the number of customers it has in Missouri, but it concedes the number of WorldCom customers in Missouri totals in the hundreds of thousands. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July. It hopes to have a reorganization plan in place by March.
