Blues captain Chris Pronger isn’t expected to play until January, but that may change. While rehab on his knee is going well, the same cannot be said about his wrist. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports this morning that the surgery he had on his wrist back in May has not helped as much as expected. Pronger broke the wrist in the 2000-2001 season. If he can’t come back in a timely fashion, the team will consider giving his captain status to Scott Mellanby or Al Mac Innis temporarily. The Blues open up their season at home tomorrow against the Mighty Ducks.
