MU Infuries To Go Unreported

October 8, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Finding out the various bangs and bruises of Missouri football players will require and investigation. Head coach Gary Pinkel said in yesterday’s press conference that he would no longer disclose player injuries. Pinkel said he has no problem divulging the information, but the problem is that other schools in the conference won’t report injuries publicly. Pinkel thinks reporting his injuries when other teams don’t, puts him at a disadvantage. As a result of the new policy, Marcus James will miss Saturday’s game against Nebraska with an unspecified injury. He left the game against Oklahoma last Saturday. Justin Gage may fill in returning punts in James absence.
