St. Louis managed only 13 points in a 37-13 loss to the 49ers. Jamie Martin was 23 of 40 for 232 yards, but threw 2 interceptions. San Francisco running back Garrison Hearst had 116 yards rushing, while Marshall Faulk managed only 73 on the ground. The Rams were held to 88 total rushing yards. Lamar Gordon’s touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter accounted for their only touchdown of the day. The Rams took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, but the 49ers reeled off 27 points to take a 27-3 lead going into the locker room at halftime. The Rams will have to make history if they want to go to the post season. No 0-5 team has ever made the playoffs.
