Missourian Makes Winston Cup Debut

Joplin native Jamie McMurray made his Winston Cup debut yesterday finishing 26th at Talladega. McMurray’s filling in for the injured Sterling Marlin who’ll be gone the rest of the season. He’ll race full time for Gannassi Racing starting next season. Rusty Wallace of St. Louis finished 13th, Mike Wallace of St. Louis was 35th and Ken Schrader of Fenton was 41st. Dale Earnhardt Junior came away with the checkered flag.
